Hi.
We’re planning to develop Manga Downloader (or Manga Viewer) for Android (mobile OS by Google). And we wonder do users want this application.
If you have slow internet connection, Manga Downloader is the best choice because it can download manga to your SD card so you can read it offline later (by another image viewer/comic reader app).
But if you have fast internet connection, Manga Viewer (read online) will save the storage of your SD card.
Which one that you want? Please vote! Thanks:

iphone is like the Apple PC
Android is like Microsoft
I suggest you make it for android as it will cater to the most number of people. Also Apple likes to control their Apps so you would only be able to install DomDom App on jailbroken iphones. Plus Android is on a huge variety of smartphones.

I’ve another opinion. I’d be great to have a decent viewer with the ability to sync manga from your desktop (In my case, mangas downloaded with DMD) like the way you sync music with iTunes. From my experience with iPhone manga downloader (MangaRock, MangaDL), it download manga way slower than desktop.

An simple iTunes-like app to sync downloaded manga with your mobile device of choice would be AWESOME!
Download manga with your desktop, read them everywhere!

if i can say something about this….
i really thinks that u don’t diversify your product to much……
just explorer more on the possibilities in your DDM for PC……like integrated manga reader for the downloaded manga colection
cause i thinks who really use downloader in cell phone when u have laptop or PC with the downloader in it that can convert it to PDF and we can read it in any smart phone like iphone or android…………

This is great, my only problem with my android has been the lack of manga readers and downloaders on the market, if you do this you would be gods in my eyes

Btw, I have a suggestion for the PC version of Manga Downloader: why don’t support MangaTraders (http://www.mangatraders.com/)? It’s true that you must register in order to download, but’s also true that’s one of the best sources for manga downloads. Plus, I find very annoying that after a tot (I think it depends on the size) of simultaneous downloads you must wait that ALL of them are completed and then click to the next ones. It would be waaaay better to have a downloader that manage all this. For example, I want to download the whole Katekyo Hitman Reborn series, but are lots of volumes! With a downloader, I would simply click to download them all, go to sleep and the next morning find that all of them are downloaded. It would be so nice! No more annoying click-download-wait-click-download all the goddamned time.
(sorry for any eventual grammatical error, but English is not my native language, plus I’m very tired)

- I cannot add MangaTrader because it’s not manga reading site.
- You can download entire series with DMD, just choose the manga, click “Check all”, click “>>”, then press Download. We dont need MangaTrader.

gee … I wish you develop also fro Ubuntu
…
Well … I vote for manga downloader because in here, in my home town, the signal isn’t too strong … I only got EDGE .. so manga downloader would help alot …

I’m an android’s user. (HTC wildfire)
And I already have ACV (android comic viewer).
If you can do something similar but with the possibility to download manga to the SD card It will be wonderful
Don’t forget low resolution (like my htc) (320×240).

I really would like the Manga Viewer App for the mobile devices

Have a question about DMD. I have a lot of bookmarks from onemanga.com and you have provided the bookmark transfer which I find very useful. But onemanga.com has been removed from the list, making it impossible to transfer bookmarks from it. What shall I do?

how will you organize which bookmarks go to which sites?
[Reply]
One suggestion to the bookmarks transfer, for example I’m currently reading Naruto chap 100 from mangafox.com and I want to transfer bookmarks because mangafox updates naruto slower than the other sites. Now, if I transfer to a site, I won’t know for sure if this site is a good one to transfer to because there’s 8 sites. So what I have to do now is click “advanced filter”, type in the manga name, click “search all sites” and see which site has more chaps. Maybe you could swap the “desination” box for something like “preview the bookmark you have selected to all sites” so for example it’ll list “naruto: mangafox – 100, mangareader 30, tenmanga 50.” Then I click on one of the listed sites to transfer bookmarks. Thx for your time.

Hi, only bookmarked manga has latest updated status (latest chapter), we cannot check latest chapter of all manga because it will take very long time! That’s why the manga in other sites (which you has not bookmarked) maybe not have latest status –> we cannot add the feature like you said.
But maybe we will add a button that show latest chapter of a selected manga… we will consider about this, thanks!

my point was a button that shows latest chap of a selected manga for all sites. Thx.

What I’m talking about: http://imgur.com/G8BwS.png
1. I bookmark cage of eden at sunmanga at 32 chaps.
2. I want to transfer but I don’t know which sites.
3. So I click on cage of eden shown in pic and press “check” so DMD automatically goes through the process of advanced filter searching for cage of eden in all sites (http://imgur.com/YswsB.png)
4. It lists out the numbers of chaps shown in the first pic.
5. I double click one to transfer bookmark.
What i’m trying to say is that DMD ALREADY has the capability to do what i’m talking about, it just saves a lot of time if this “button” exists cuz it’s like an automatic “search” function for specific mangas I want to bookmark transfer (not all or that would create long loading time)

I understood, I will add this feature in next version (it will not like your pic but it will do the same thing that you told)
Thanks.

Can You Guys Add Mangastream database….
[Reply]
I have a problem with Tenmanga. Every time I download a large manga (many chapters) MD downloads a few chapters (ex. 1-100) and then stops downloading. Restart of MD doesn’t help
What is more weird is that when I run MD the next day the download resumes as normal and the situation repeats itself. Happened a few times with Inuyasha manga and other long mangas too
Can someone confirm this or is this only me?
It feels as if TenManga had a daily chapter download limit enforced.
