DomDomSoft Manga Downloader version 2.0.1 release

This is a maintenance release. We recommend that all users running prior versions of DomDomSoft Manga Downloader upgrade to benefit from bug fixes and stability improvements.

This version has new option for users who have unstable internet connection (retry unlimited times like version 1.7.x).

P/S:
1/ MangaToshokan is back!!!
2/ Auto download new chapters is currently not working best with MangaHut, I will fix it soon.

Please report errors and request new features by commenting here.

Knew bugs will be fixed in version 2.0.2

Sorry, …. but still the things that i’ve mentioned earlier are still not good (sorry …)

i’ve updated to 2.0.1, the scrolling still looks the same. if you scroll using mouse/ pointer and click it to scroll button then drag it down, the scrolling looks smooth. but if you scroll using the scroll button on your mouse, the list seems going up and down, especially when you have highlighted item on it. maybe you should try to use mouse rather than fingerpad on your laptop to find the difference.

What’s OS do you use? And what’s theme?
I need to install a virtual machine to test it because I don’t see that problem whatever I do.

Since no one wants to try the program I have made, will make video of it -_-;; it shows exactly what Aan is having problems with, and the same is for me!

It shows the Manga Downloader’s (MD) list and the list that everyone is used to, which is used in nearly everything from browsers to word processors. In the video you can see the MD list scrolls strangely, and in the program I bring into it, the right box with directories scrolls much the same. The correct scrolling listbox is on the left side of the program I bring up. Any scrolling I do without touching the Vertical bar is with my Mouse Wheel. This is the same program I have posted on here a few times.

I tried your program, the list in your program is strange but MangaDownloader’s list is not.
Maybe I don’t use Standard Theme so that problem don’t happen.

I will try to find the solution for this…

MangaDownloader uses the same list as the directory list that is in the program/video I made! You can comapre them side-by-side, they are the same, the list on the left with numbers in it is the widest used list. It’s the list most like browsers or notepads.

The content in the MangaDownloader listbox goes up every time you scroll. It is very hard to accurately describe, but it should not scroll all the text upwards when you scroll up and down with the mouse wheel. The list on the left side of my program does it correctly with the mouse wheel, and when you scroll UP with the wheel content goes DOWN, and when you scroll DOWN the content goes UP. In MangaDownloader’s list when you scroll UP or DOWN all the list items appear to scroll upwards, even though they do actually scroll down in the list, it does not look that way. This makes it very difficult to figure out which menu item you were previously looking at since everything moved strangely and is not where your mind tries to compensate for the strange motions of the list.

I said, maybe only Classic Theme of Windows XP got this problem.

It’s not a “problem” in the sense that it is a bug, but that’s how the list itself is designed to work. It’s just not the way a normal list Should work.

try this. when you disconnect internet when the status is loading (and not downloading) let say …. loading chapter 01 pg 5 … now the status become Completed with errors. ( you’ve changed the status …. GREAT). BUT, if you redownload, the program only download pg 00 to 05. what about the rest page, let’s say pg 6 to 19??? why the program not downloading it?? i’still prefer ver 1.7.5
maybe you can try and compare it, by connecting and disconnecting your internet connection. i think you should try it..

i try it again, but this time it’s WORKING !! geez…thanks. (but how come we have to put a tick on infinite retry everytime, doesn’t the program has to remember the settings? …)

everytime i click the optinons icon, on the downloaad section, the tick is always cleared, altouh previously i’m sure to tick on the infinite retry……

Which version do you use? LIMIT or FULL ver? Could you try to re-download the program?

maybe… i updated to 2.0.1 from 2.0 using the autoupdater … (still in liit edition)

maybe i should redownload it again …

The program in that video was updated from version 2.0 I don’t know why this happen.

If you have time, I can take a look at it directly by Team Viewer.

i think i’ve figured out the problem.
do like this, … try clicking on options and see the download tab, put a tick on infinite reply, tha ok, go back to the main screen.
then try clicking again on options and see the download tab, the tick is gone, although the program still remember the last setting. i think this is the problem. the program DO remember the last setting. thanks

NO! When I tick the infinity retry setting, then press OK, then go back to Options >> Download tab, the tick’s still there.

geez, how come it only happens on me?? but never mind, as long as the program DOES remember the settings, it’s ok. never mind about the tick. maybe it’s just due to the classic theme (again?). thanks ..

after updating the manga list, sometime the list don’t get sorted by name …

Local Manga DB? In .txt format with manga name?
I think most of users don’t need this feature so… I can’t add it. Sorry

Can the filter window retain it’s checkbox settings unless the filter is cleared? As it is now whenever I want to change a filter and bring up the box everything is reset again..

haha… not only the filter window. every options that have a checkbox cannot remember the last settings. everything is reset again …. same with me ….
