Stop developing for DomDomSoft Manga Downloader, eh?

sad
Recently, I have wondered why people don’t spread this software (such as introduce it in forum, blog, etc…), and now, I think I had the answer:

Wow, this is the most useless invention i have ever seen.

Dont people use google or just ask someone where to download mangas at?
no they invent a programm that helps them download something from an online readin portal. damn is that retarded.

next time use mangatraders.com
gotlurk.net
or just check the scantlation site directly (infos at mangaupdates)

and download in full volumes zipped in good quality and much more quantity that onemanga or fox can ever dream of.

even looking at this programm is a waste of valuable lifetime

That is the comment that I read in one forum, so hurt… I ought to stop the development of DomDomSoft Manga Downloader, huh? :(

Farewell.

Don’t bother about him. I’m very grateful to you. Your software helped me quickly get newest chapters from Onemanga or Mangafox; mangatraders.com is often slow to upload new chapters. Sprry because I can’t donate to you, I still go to universty so I don’t have much money

I like having more than one way to download my manga. Don’t bother with this guy. Maybe he doesn’t need your soft. I do use it. And I do like it.

This guy has no idea what he is talking about. Domdomsoft Manga Downloader is by far the easiest way to download manga. You don’t need to go to several sites, or save each image individually. Don’t let things like this get to you. You are doing amazing. Please keep going.

Ow.. that is a rude comment, but i like your software better than any software i used before to download manga because i think downloading from onemanga/mangafox is far easier than downloading from scanlation group

    Do your best.

Your software is worthless because it doesn’t support the artists, publishers, or even the scanlation groups.

  13. Ura says:

^Why should the software support scanlation groups? Scanlation groups themselves generally don’t directly support artists or publishers either, and this program wasn’t intended to support any of the mentioned groups. It was meant for the benefit of foreign leechers like us who make up the scanlation (and manga leeching) community.

This program is great, and this is coming from a massive leecher who extensively takes from lurk, DC++, torrents, and lots of file hosting and ddl sites. I think that it’s specific strengths need to be marketed more, which are:
    1) It’s a tool with the capability to *passively* downloads manga in bulk (making it more convenient than all download mediums aside from p2p clients & torrents).
    2) It has a good interface that allows you the flexibility to:
-browse the most diverse selection of manga in one place
-”shop” for interesting manga using the inbuilt descriptions from the host site
-download as little as a sing page from a manga chapter up to as much as several full mangas at once.
    3) It’s safer to use than a P2P client.
    4) It’s one of the most updated manga download mediums out there because onemanga and mangahut tend to upload new releases faster than other popular manga sources (aside from the host).
    5) It has the potential to overcome delays in getting new releases for those with slow/poor internet connections or for those who don’t use/want to keep clients for specific download media (like torrents, IRC, P2P’s).

Oh, and I’ve already gotten a handful of personal friends hooked on the program, and I’ll soon advertise this on one of the forums I frequent.

This project interests me personally because I’m an aspiring Programmer/ Economist and I have some basic programming experience (solid Java knowledge, a little C, quite a bit of C++, some assembly language, some PHP). I’ll probably email you (Dom) later to learn a bit about how you coded
    the program.
